At the boxing on Friday to watch one of my best mates and Scottish(even though he's Irish) Middleweight Champion of the world, Ciaran "The Diamond" Duffy defend his belt. He won in six rounds, he's the lad in the green shorts.
Disappointing though the guest of honour Frank Bruno couldn't make it to the top table because of all the air plane craziness so we had to make do with Bertie Auld of Lisbon Lion fame and John Brown of Rangers fame along with some folk I had never heard off or really care about.
Was a good night, some cracking fights but 14.50 for 2 Tennents and 2 corona took the shine off it.
Noel showing his support (he never made that it was marking our table)

thats twice you've been at the boxing lately!
£3.60 odds a drink is shocking but it sounds like a right good night otherwise. i'd be tempted to try this sometime.
;-)
Please tell me "Why cant we be friends" Is really his song! Please!
andy, its a good night if the venue is good! He's been on the sky fights in the kelvin hall and that which are brilliant fights but has to do some dinner nights which can be expensive but its the nature of the game!
Mick, not really his song, its some rap shite cause he thinks he's black!
How funny!
"Big Frank cant make it due to volcanic ash boss! What the hell will we do? There's an angry boxing loving mob gathering."
"Dont worry son. I'll produce my trump card here and introduce an ageing celtic player from the 60s and a C list Rangers player from the 80 and stand back and receive their warm adulation."
Bwhahahahahahahahahahahahah!
Surely to fuck he could have got a hold of Jim Watt or that wee promoter guy Barry something who is barred from everywhere in town.
lazy.
Aye Barry Hughes used to be Ciaran's promoter, Ive been to a few fights he put on, nice fella, dont know where he gets the "Fanny" tag from.
Was dying to see Frank. I wanted to ask him what the yorkshire ripper was like.
